Arizona Fall League Update: Ji-Hwan Bae Swipes Three Bags in Rare Tie

It was a wild and crazy game on Monday between the Peoria Javelinas and Mesa Solar Sox, but it was also one that we didn't get a definite ending too.

After finishing 10 innings with no team ahead, Monday's ended in a tie, with a final score of 15-15. With plenty of offense to go around, the Pittsburgh Pirates hitting prospects that played were plenty involved with the game.

Batting one and two in the lineup, Ji-Hwan Bae and Nick Gonzales combined to score five of the team's 15 runs. The former first round pick Gonzales drove in a run in the top of the 10th that originally gave his team the lead.

Leading off and playing second Bae finished the day with one of the most eventful 0 for 3 days you could have. He also walked three times, scored three runs and stole three bases, giving him five on the AFL season.

Gonzales was the team's designated hitter batting in the two-hole, with his lone hit coming in the 10th that temporarily gave the Javelinas the lead. He scored twice and walked two more times on the day as well.

Carmen Mlodzinski and Bear Bellomy both pitched on the day for Peoria, going multiple innings a piece. The former South Carolina Gamecock Mlodzinski allowed two runs on two hits and two walk across three innings.

He struggled with his control with just 24 of his 51 pitches going for strikes.

Bellomy was featured earlier in the day and got another opportunity to pitch, throwing the ninth and tenth innings of the contest. He allowed three runs, only two of which were earned, while allowing two hits and walking one.

His throwing error in the 10th allowed the tying run to score before the game ending without a winner.

Peoria continues their schedule on Tuesday with a game against the Surprise Saguaros. Game time is 3:35 PM ET with Roansy Contreras the expected starter.
